The company set out to make lives better by bringing affordable, high-quality personal care products that enable consumers to treat and self-manage conditions. Perrigo is the world's largest manufacturer of over-the-counter self-care products and the largest supplier of infant formulas to the store brand market.
Challenge
Perrigo’s vision focuses on becoming the leading B2B eCommerce platform within the pharmaceutical sector with a qualitative and highly performant experience for all its stakeholders. The objective was to upgrade the existing B2B platform and to create a full European scope, with an agile and future proof approach. The platform needed to be flexible with the possibility to extend to new trends, new modules. To achieve this, it was fundamental that the platform wasn’t standalone, but integrated, in sync with the existing data systems.
Solution
Through the implementation of B2B Commerce, our team delivered a country-agnostic B2B Commerce Portal. The solution included a custom module to help with the creation of the offers in the webshop, where sales managers could define and manage offers, discounts, products, and product relationships. The Waeg team developed and launched a custom loyalty module for Perrigo Belgium.
Results
Perrigo’s investment in a B2B Commerce solution has improved the online selling process for pharmacies in Spain and Belgium. Our team has created a solid, country agnostic foundation as well as specific modular functionality to ensure a scalable and cost-effective solution. The solution is now standardised among both countries, which leads to an easier rollout for other countries in the future.
Conclusion
Thanks to regular professional meetings and good communication between our teams, and objective project management, which helped in making sure no ideas or requirements got lost along the way, all of the objectives necessary to tackle the challenges have been delivered.
